The white wine »Geheimrat J« Rheingau Riesling trocken, vintage 2008 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Light golden yellow. The nose still displays yeasty aromas, but also has spicy slate tones, peach and apricot. Very mineral on the palate, with firm but also fine acidity. A wine that has nothing in excess, neither acidity nor alcohol, and which shows great inner stability, with an exciting, lively, long finish.
