The white wine »Geheimrat J« Rheingau Riesling trocken, vintage 2002 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Light golden. Some wood and yeast, honey, a hint of cork masks the presumably present fruit. On the palate the wine is concentrated and fine in one, the acidity is well balanced with the body, mineral components emphasise the elegance of the structure. This wine has great ageing potential in its unforced yet full-bodied style.
