The white wine »Geheimrat J« Rheingau Riesling trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 96+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Dried mango, pineapple, orange juice, fruity with a slight caramel undertone, herbal and citrus hints are also present, as well as some slate. The sweetness is initially present on the palate, followed by a ripe, dense, mineral-influenced extract, almost chewy, yet also dynamic, juicy, even playful. Multi-layered.
