The white wine »Geheimrat J« Rheingau Riesling trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Initially closed, slightly floral, caramel, peach blossom, lemon peel, lemon balm and blossom honey. Lots of juice at the start, bundled, still introverted, a fine but also intense thread of acidity, some fermentation carbon dioxide, despite its elegant, light-hearted structure, the wine almost invites you to chew on its structural content. Slightly creamy in the background, but not without tension and juiciness.
