The white wine Geisenheim Riesling Kabinett, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
On the nose there are notes of red apple, peach, mirabelle plums, rock flour - ripe and yet spicy underlying fruit. On the palate, the wine is leaner and drier than the palate suggests, the wine seems downright dry and has a lot of mineral notes. A pithy wine with excellent perspective - more dry than off-dry in taste.
