The red wine Saphir, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Albrecht Schwegler has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Zweigelt, Merlot, Syrah from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Fresh, fruity and complex aromas of black cherry, cranberry, red and blackcurrant, alongside well integrated wood. Full-bodied and concentrated in the mouth, it feels juicy and mellow with ripe, grainy tannins and a core of sweet fruit. A very complex cuvée with intense aromas, good ageing potential and great length.
