The red wine »Saphir«, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Albrecht Schwegler has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Cabertin from the region Württemberg in Germany.
The bouquet is elaborate and elegant with notes of black cherry, plum, blueberry and also sour cherry, some cedar wood, nothing overheated from the warm year. Quite mature on the palate with an excellent balance that combines structure, power, volume and freshness, carefully extracted tannins, lingers for a long time.
