The white wine »Ovum« Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Aldinger has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Ovum indicates (partial) ageing in a concrete egg, but the nose is dominated by barrique notes. No Sauvignon grassy notes whatsoever, on the contrary - quite ripe notes. On the palate, the aromas remain subtle, the wine amazes with a calm elegance, immensely harmonious.
