The red wine Ried Gabarinza, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Andreas Gsellmann has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot from the region Burgenland in Austria.
Deep ruby with purple reflections and some ochre on the broad, lighter rim. On the nose there are aromas of ripe plum, fine blackberry confit, some nougat and tobacco, with a hint of herbal savouriness. The palate is juicy, elegant and freshly structured, with ripe cherry, fine tannins, finesse, minerality and persistence.
