The white wine »Kalkbrunnen®« Meersburg Chardonnay, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Aufricht has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Initially a reductive, fermented aroma, with notes of oak and yeast, citric aromas and floral tones with increasing air contact. On the palate, the wine exerts a lot of drive, high concentration, juicy and nervy, lots of salt, taut, yet also somehow lean, long-lasting. Challenging, gripping, high certain ageing potential.
