The white wine »Der Alte« Silvaner Alte Reben trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Augustin has been rated in 2019 with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Still yeasty on the nose, some flint, Mirabelle plum. On the palate, soft and sustained, rather mild in acidity, slightly sweet, full-bodied and almost powerful, a full-throttle Silvaner, the tactile-mineral component counteracts the broad structure.
