The white wine »Grand Vin«, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Axel Bauer has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Peppery, mineral notes appear on the nose alongside a woody, varietal, cereal-like bouquet. On the palate, the wine impresses with an immensely dense combination of substance, mineral extract, acidity and supple elements. The palate does not seem fat, but rather tight and sinewy, tense, dense and powerful.
