The white wine »Meisterstück« Pinot Gris, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Axel Bauer has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Gris from the region Baden in Germany.
Some smoky and slightly toasty aromas with rather restrained primary fruit, melon, quince and pear and a touch of toffee. On the palate, noticeable wood ageing with a powerful and compact structure, still some coarse tannin, green walnut, quince and a bone dry finish with mineral and salty notes, traction and reserve.
