The white wine »Grande Reserve« Chardonnay, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Bietighöfer has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay
Well-integrated, subtle wood on the nose, as well as grated coconut and buttery tones. There are also undertones of very ripe yellow fruit. The first impression on the palate comes from the lively acidity, followed by a contrast in the middle of the palate between powerful substance and smooth, slightly viscous motifs. The wine still seems extremely young, with a multi-layered structure and excellent ageing potential.
