The white wine Steinfass Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Daniel Mattern has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Fragrant with a savoury varietal fruit, more red than green gooseberry, mint, firm acidity and taut extract on the palate, medium-bodied in alcohol, but bundled and built to last. Some suppleness rounds it off, but the wine is particularly pleasing with its juicy, slightly mineral-tinged tension.
