The white wine »Natural Steinfass« Sauvignon blanc, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Daniel Mattern has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Very ripe nose, orange peel, yellow fruit, mango and papaya, black currant, bell pepper, some cider and boxwood. Starts relaxed on the palate with juice and texture, then develops tension with agile acidity and mineral notes, good density, juicy, clear expression, sweet pear and tangerine, balanced between substance and freshness, ripe, grippy phenolics, finishing slightly salty.
