The white wine Riesling Kabinett, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Daniel Mattern has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
White flowers and peach on the nose, apple and herbal notes, light sesame, fine savouriness. Straightforward and with tension on the palate, carried by the vivid acid nerve. Lots of juice on the mid-palate, stone fruit, apple and apple peel, not overly sweet, full-bodied, beautiful, noticeable phenolics, maritime hints. Not smooth, shows character.
