The white wine Sommerach Katzenkopf Am Hölzlein Silvaner trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery BIO-Weingut Daniel Then has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
The wine initially shows floral aromas, then flinty notes emerge, almost iodine undertones, oyster shell. The palate has a powerful stature, showing ripe phenolics and a well-integrated acidity in the still compact structure. Will develop very well with bottle age.
