The white wine Nierstein Roter Hang Riesling Kabinett, vintage 2021 from the winery Eckehart und Johannes Gröhl has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
The nose is clearly characterised by spontaneous fermentation, with lots of savouriness, matchstick, herbs, nettle, malt and hop blossom, also peppery. On the palate, it sets off at sprinter's pace with a hi-wax acidity that sets the pace. The sweetness enjoys taking its place behind it, with lime juice supporting the lively ride.
