The red wine »Altor« trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Emil Bauer und Söhne has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose, ripe, wild strawberry, wild berries, rose hip, chocolaty notes and beautiful savoury notes of pepper, cedar wood and leaf. Mushroom hunting in the forest on a sunny fall day. Powerful on the palate, well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, give it time to breathe before drinking.
