The white wine »vom roten Schiefer« Riesling trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Forster has been rated in 2016 with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Nahe in Germany.
Makes no secret of its origin. The minerality of the slate on the nose is juicily supported by pear and apple peel. It is puzzling why the acidity on the palate wanders around with little purpose and the baroque fruit sweetness stands helplessly by.
