The red wine Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve Mitterberg, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Gager has been rated in 2011 with 93 - 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby-garnet colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate watery rim. Very attractive dark berry confit, blackberries, a hint of mint, delicate hints of precious wood, very pure, delicate tobacco nuances with air. Full-bodied, tightly woven, black berry, mineral and taut, well-integrated, vivid tannins that carry the wine, mineral nuances on the finish, still very youthful, great certain ageing potential.
