The red wine Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve Ried Mitterberg, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Gager has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 - 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Opaque deep ruby core with purple reflections and a subtly lighter rim. Fine oak spice on the nose, with some cassis and a touch of blackberry. The palate shows good complexity, with juicy, well-integrated acid structure, well-integrated tannins, pronounced fruit, some vanilla and a touch of plum on the finish. Definite ageing potential.
