The white wine i.G. Sausenheimer Honigsack Weißer Burgunder trocken Zugpferd, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Gaul has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Still very closed on the nose, with meadow herbs, hay, a trace of very fresh pinot berry, and just a hint of oak. On the palate the oak is structurally present, giving frame and rounding it off. It is substantial, softly grounded and filled with substance, with good density and very good development potential. It is long lasting and is a refined wine.
