The white wine Birkweiler Rosenberg Grauburgunder Spätlese trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Graßmück has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Roasted walnuts, chestnut puree and ripe pear show on the nose, also some rose. A classic dry Spätlese with power, fruit, juice, spice and a dash of sweetness. This could have come from Baden and be called Ruländer - a nice excursion into the past.
