The white wine »Fumé« Gewürztraminer, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Hammel has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Bread crust, yeast and stony notes. Well-integrated wood. Powerful on the palate, with fine tannins and an acidity that matches the body very well, the finish shows a very cultivated form of varietal spice: not exuberant, with floral hints, but also contained by wood and fruit.
