The red wine Blaufränkisch C12, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Hans Igler has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Burgenland in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, an opaque core, and a delicate bright rim. On the nose there is a lovely fine oak savouriness, as well as some cherry fruit, and a hint of mandarin zest, it is an inviting bouquet. On the palate it is taut, elegant, with a fine structure, vivid tightly woven tannins, and some berry confit on the finish. It has certain ageing potential.
