The white wine Meisental Sauvignon Blanc Prestige unfiltriert trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Höfflin has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Baden in Germany.
Restrained on the nose, and not so much on the fruity side of the spectrum, with cumin and cardamom aromas, and very nicely resolved phenolics. On the palate it is supported with ripe acidity and good freshness. It is an unconventional interpretation of the variety at the same time recognizable in its Kaiserstühl provenance.
