The red wine Neusiedlersee DAC Reserve, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Horst und Georg Schmelzer has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Intense, floral fruit nose, touch of lime, somewhat high-toned bouquet. Juicy, elegant, a hint of cassis, well-integrated tannins, black berries also in the finish, mineral, appears light-footed, already easy to drink.
