The red wine Pares Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut J. Neus has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
A classic burgundian nose with intensely yeasty aromas (reminiscent of worn car tyres), red berry fruit, almond and restrained use of wood. Juicy on the palate with excellent freshness and tension, rather carefully extracted and yet with a lot of inner strength, not least from the mineral component. Stylistically à point and with excellent ageing potential.
