Tasting Notes
Ruby red in the glass. Rich blackberry and cassis notes on the nose, smoky, cedar wood, clove, bay leaf, black pepper. Very juicy, taut and cool on the palate. Straightforward with tension. Ripe, pithy tannins. Defined structure through acidity and minerality. Granite, plum and chokeberry on the finish.
More about the tastingRipe red cherry, some plum and pomegranate, cool smoke, dried herbs, black pepper, some ink. Relaxed and yet determined in its nature, power develops on a soft texture and an energy that captures the limestone soils of Ingelheim, ripe tannin structure, juicy tartness, plum, sloe and elderberry, long, savoury finish.
