The red wine Blaufränkisch Diabas, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Jalits has been rated in 2016 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Eisenberg in Austria.
Very dark ruby, deep colour, purple reflections, soft brightening on the rim. Fine wood and hints of spice, wild black berry confit, some liquorice, dark minerality, needs some air. Complex, full-bodied, dark berries and ripe cherries, integrated tannins, structured with good acidity, fine nougat, still a bit unapproachable and underdeveloped at this stage, some patience will pay off here.
