Tasting Notes
There is some smoky new oak, almost a little tarry, and spicy Burgundy scents on this nose which is, even now, a little closed. The palate is marked by very high quality, grippy tannin, good density and yet with no impression of it being overly-weighty. It is very much chalky in its minerality, plus there is a cherry fruit freshness, and the firm acidity keeps the body taut, brilliantly extracted and made for a long life.
