Tasting Notes
Concentrated and multilayered aroma, smoke, roasted hazelnut, yellow peach, mango, apple, camomile blossom, subtle clove. Full-bodied attack on the palate, juicy, precise fruit, fine acidity, minerality and elegant phenolics lead powerfully into the long finish.
More about the tastingThe "Oskar" is already enormously dense on the nose. Cedar wood initially dominates the appearance, but with air, it can be pushed further and further back into the background. On the palate, this is immediately followed by a friendly attack of acidity that can only be described as "big". Firmly structured, with plenty of energy and depth, incredibly balanced. Can definitely play at the top level internationally!
More about the tastingCool, precise and marginally reductive on the nose. This is followed by yellow peach, stone fruit, a hint of clove and hazelnut. On the palate, good acidity supports both the fine phenolics and the complex, concentrated fruit. Long finish. Needs a lot of time.
