The red wine Steinzeiler Fassprobe, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut Kollwentz has been rated in 2012 with 94 - 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Fine dark fruit on the nose, but also with red berries in the background, subtle notes of orange zest, still somewhat restrained. Juicy, with still grippy tannins, fresh acidity, still a little edgy on the finish at this stage, dark nougat in the aftertaste, a promising young wine.
