The white wine Ilbesheim Kalmit Riesling trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Leiner has been rated in 2019 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Peach, blossom honey and peppery notes, but also clearly influenced by spontaneous fermentation. On the palate it shows like velvet and silk, very seamlessly round with finely chiselled acidity, as a wine from the limestone, but almost unrecognisable as Riesling, only in the finish terpenic-spicy-floral.
