The red wine Blauer Portugieser Auslese trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Terra Preta Weingut Huppert has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blauer Portugieser from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
The aroma on the nose is herbal and dark fruity. It is reminiscent of lovage and black cherry as well as dried raspberries. The acidity on the palate is quite intense. There is also a slight astringency. One to two years will certainly do it good to harmonise.
