Dark cherry fruit on the nose, blackcurrant, spicy tobacco, toasty aromas, smoke and also some incense and ash. On the palate traction and substance, dense fruit, grippy tannin in good quantity. Juicy and animating with vivid acidity and precise cherry fruit, also blueberry, a touch of oak. Very fine, distinctive astringency, combines fullness and depth with the freshness and minerality of the Saar.
