Tasting Notes
Barrel 8 20 Marienthal Trotzenberg, found in Ahrweiler, found by the children's post-midwife companion. There was only one barrel from the 2020 vintage from the Trotzenberg vineyard, the yield was small and came partly from a new planting with a sélection massale from Burgundy. On the nose, lots of wood and herbal notes. Supple and full on the palate, relatively high alcohol, juicy with fine, rather mild acidity and plenty of fine, cultivated tannins, round and très gourmand, with good depth.
