The red wine Syrah, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Paul Achs has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
It has a deep ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a broad bright rim. On the nose it is smoky, with aromas of savoury berry confit, black cherry, ripe plum, and some nougat. It is full-bodied and elegant, with a lovely extract sweetness, ripe well-integrated tannins, and a discreet chocolate touch on the finish. It has nice length, and has certain ageing potential.
