The red wine Amistar Cabernet Franc Südtirol DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Peter Sölva has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
It has a deep, shimmering garnet colour, with brick-coloured reflections and a dark core. There are spicy vegetal aromas of red bell pepper, clove, and some caraway, along with ripe blueberry. It is juicy on the palate, building up in layers, with fine tannins and plenty of grip. It has a nice balanced character with a complex interplay of aromas on the finish.
