The red wine Bärenreiser, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Philipp Grassl has been rated in 2011 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Carnuntum in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections. Dark berry fruit with fine savoury notes, full-bodied and sweet, delicate nougat touch, liquorice and cassis, very attractive, beguiling bouquet. Juicy, pronounced fruit, vivid, perfectly integrated tannins, full-bodied dark berry fruit, nougat, shows a marvellous length, great development and certain ageing potential.
