The Red Wine P1 Carnuntum DAC, vintage 2017 from the winery Bio-Weingut Robert Payr has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 95 - 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt from the region Carnuntum in Austria.
Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate ochre rim brightening. Intense black berry fruit, ripe plum and nougat, a hint of eucalyptus and mint, with fine notes of oak in the background. Powerful, juicy and endowed with pleasantly sweet fruit, ripe, supporting tannins, chocolaty and long-lasting, mineral finish, secure development and certain ageing potential, already gluggable, but should be allowed to mature for a few more years.
