The red wine The Shiraz, vintage 2019 from the winery Scheiblhofer The Wine has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Shiraz from the region Burgenland in Austria.
Deep dark, almost black ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Fresh black fruit, nuances of cassis and liquorice, blackberry confit, hints of olives and figs. Complex, powerful, ripe plum, supporting tannins, chocolaty finish, good length, already accessible, a sturdy food companion.
More about the tastingIntense dark ruby core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Fresh, concentrated black fruit on the nose with hints of cassis, liquorice, confit blackberries and notes of olives and figs. Complex, powerful, ripe plums support the rich tannins and concentrated chocolate notes on the finish. Already drinking very well and has very good potential to age.
