The red wine Schloss Proschwitz Spätburgunder GG VDP. Große Lage, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Schloss Proschwitz – Prinz zur Lippe has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Saxony in Germany.
Fine mineral cherry fruit. well integrated "sweet" (and also very slightly animalistic) oak. Delicate fruit, more in an elegant style than in power, but definitely bringing inner strength to the scale and a solidifying texture on the finish. It has good proportions, a seamless round structure with mild acidity, and good length. It is a delicious pinot noir.
