Tasting from 22.03.2023: Ulrich Sautter

Smoky aroma, toasty notes from the wood and probably equally from the very ripe, dark berry fruit. On the palate there are also herbal nuances, almost macchia-like. The palate is dense with mellow medium-grain tannins, not astringent, even if they maintain tension long into the finish. Tactile and mineral character shows up last. Good for long ageing.
