Dark ruby with purple reflections, brightening at the rim. Fine savoury herbs, some liquorice, and delicate clove notes are underlaid with ripe cherries and a chocolaty touch. Taut, juicy, and tightly meshed, it is elegant, with fine fruit, supporting, ripe tannins, and some cardamom, white pepper, and chocolate touches on the finish. Certain ageing potential.
