The sekt »Opus Paulin« Blanc de Blancs brut nature, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Zähringer has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Pinot berry-like and nutty on the nose, supported by yeast, with a very fine hint of ripe notes. The palate opens broadly and with fullness, then develops an intense saltiness that goes hand in hand with complex savoury aromas. The mousse is dynamic, the acidity seamlessly integrated. A full-bodied, vinous sparkling wine that is ideal with food.
