Tasting Notes
Day one: The Cabernet reveals itself with intense, clear notes of blackcurrant, with herbal notes (thyme, mint) and a hint of wood and yeast in the background. The tannins appear ripe and have a sandy to fine-grained quality, the acidity remains discreet and appears very well integrated, the wine finishes juicy and fine, very elegant. Day two: even more open on the nose, lots of blackcurrant, liquorice and tobacco. Not at all tired, on the contrary: even fresher. Silky on the palate, fine tannins, but also full, very complete. Has gained in fullness. Day 3: opulent on the nose, a cloud of blackcurrant. On the palate it shows with early onset and long-lasting tension, today with a similar fullness as on day 2, and with a clear mineral base. Firm tannins. Brilliant.
More about the tastingDeep, dark red in the glass. Animal, leathery nuances, cedar wood, dried plums, balsamic influences with cooked wild berries. Surprisingly light-fruited and leaner on the palate than expected. Firm tannin structure, noticeable acidity and minerality. Elegant and balanced.
