The red wine »Edition Premium Réserve unfiltered« Merlot trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Wachtenburg Winzer eG has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose, multi-layered aromas of ripe black cherry, currant and cranberry, alongside spice and smoke. Concentrated and intense on the palate with plenty of spice and substance, the cultured acidity keeps the balance, rich, ripe tannins, with chocolate and spice on the finish.
